There is so much more to discover! Here’s a start:

Pilgrim Fathers Church: This is where the very first pilgrims left for America on the Speedwell. There’s a nice brewery next door as well, and the little harbour is lovely. A small taste of medieval Rotterdam.

Hofbogen: Series of shops, restaurants and clubs under an old railway track. Don’t miss Bird for music & soul food, Station Bergweg for local bites and drinks and Man met Bril for next level coffee.

Brouwerij Noordt: Great new brewery in the North. Tasty beers, nice people and affordable prices :).

Huis Sonneveld: The residential home of one of the Van Nelle Fabriek’s directors, built in the early 1930’s. Wonderful example of Het Nieuwe Bouwen. Tip: Take the audio tour!

Oliva: One of our favourite Italian restaurants. Also don’t miss Gusto from the same owner, if you’re looking for a lower-key version of the same quality.

Deliplein: Square behind the Fenix Food Factory with some of the best restaurants in town. Don’t miss Deli Bird for a Thai extravaganza, Matroos en het Meisje for the French kitchen at its best, CEO for the meat lovers, Burro e Salvia for simple and amazing Italian food and Cafe De Ouwehoer for music and drinks after your meal.

Van Nelle Fabriek: A leading light of the Modern Age and a Unesco World Heritage Monument, this factory is definitely worth a visit.

Huis Sonneveld: The residential home of one of the Van Nelle Fabriek’s directors, built in the early 1930’s. Wonderful example of Het Nieuwe Bouwen. Tip: Take the audio tour.

De Rotonde: Absolute must-visit for vegetarians and vegans, and actually for all manner of omnivore as well :). These people know how to work with vegetables, very surprising and tasty dishes.

Maassilo: This is the place for some proper clubbing in a great industrial setting. Also visit the Now & Wow Club upstairs for a dance with a view and some of the best parties around.

Club Haug: This nicely designed comedy club attracts the best new-comers and the biggest veterans in comedy, guaranteed brilliant night out.

If it’s good weather don’t forget to visit some of our parks, especially the cool Vroesenpark and the romantic and aptly named Het Park.

Hope you enjoy, and hope to see you soon again!

All the best from the Bike & Bite and BiteMe Food Tours team.

(And then just for fun: Jackie Chan on the Slide.)
